First of all Wikipedia doesn't give any advice to particular disease or suggestion based on its own. It is often people refer Wikipedia for medical suggestions or definitions, even doctors and medical students use Wikipedia for references. Wikipedia has various sections and its medical content is managed by the Wikiproject Medicine Team, whose main job is to accurately research on every medical term.

In a recent report in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, saying nine out ten Wikipedia's articles on medical have technical inaccuracies. The inaccuracies are identified by a panel of middle-grade doctors, though they didn't publish any example of inaccuracy. For example, Wikipedia says if the blood pressure reading is high, it is recommended to tested before any treatment, and it quoted from National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

How you can trust Wikipedia? What is the solution?

There are lots of studies have been conducted and proved Wikipedia is accurate. There are many articles of kidney disease and mental health problems where the articles published in Wikipedia are authentic in reference to many medical resources. The latest study stated that more than 60% of factual statements in Wikipedia are substantiated by the peer-reviewed literature.

It is advisable to look after .edu, .gov, or .org while looking for medical advices. There are many websites who provide medical advices, but you can't trust all. Look after generalized information from the sites, and technical medical advices from government or renowned websites.

Before acting on medical advices given in Internet, consult your doctor. Without understanding the medical terms and intricacies, do not suggest things to your peers or family members.
